Here you find Frequently Asked Questions about the Tobacco Monitoring Switzerland (TMS).

Does Tobacco Monitoring Switzerland make raw data available to researchers for use in other research studies?

Data Availability

The Tobacco Monitoring Switzerland provides basic information for implementing and monitoring the ‘National Tobacco Programme 2008-2012.’ The program contains information on the current developments in tobacco consumption in Switzerland. For that reason, Tobacco Monitoring Switzerland does not provide raw data to third parties. However, with official commissioned studies by the Federal Office of Public Health, additional analyses are always possible in principle. However, depending on the complexity of the desired analyses, preparation of the data can entail considerable effort and costs, for which the Tobacco Monitoring Switzerland would charge a fee.
